Day 1 — St. Joseph, Most Faithful In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Glorious St. Joseph, faithful follower of Jesus Christ, to thee do we raise our hearts and hands to implore thy powerful intercession in obtaining from the benign Heart of Jesus all the helps and graces necessary for our spiritual and temporal welfare, particularly the grace of a happy death and the special favor we now implore. O Guardian of the Word Incarnate, we feel animated with confidence that thy prayers in our behalf will be graciously heard before the throne of God. V. O glorious St. Joseph, through the love thou bearest to Jesus Christ, and for the glory of His name, R. Hear our prayers and obtain our petitions. Prayer: O blessed Joseph, faithful guardian and father of Jesus, who watched over and protected the Christ Child with untiring love, and by thy labor did earn for Him and His Blessed Mother their daily bread, most lovingly do I commend myself, my soul and body, and all my prayers to thy care. O thou, who wast deemed worthy to hold in thy arms the Infant God, and to spend thine earthly life in His sweet companionship, I beg thee to look with compassion upon me. Thou knowest my necessities, my troubles, and my sufferings. I fly to thee, because I know I shall find in thee one who will understand and assist me. Thou, too, hast known trial and suffering. O blessed Joseph, do not remain deaf to my supplication, but obtain for me the favor I so earnestly implore. Prayer to St. Joseph (composed by Pope St. Leo XIII): To thee, O blessed Joseph, we have recourse in our tribulation, and having implored the help of thy thrice-holy Spouse, we now with confidence solicit thy patronage also. By that charity wherewith thou wast united to the Immaculate Virgin Mother of God, and by the fatherly affection with which thou didst cherish the Child Jesus, we beseech thee to graciously regard the inheritance which Jesus Christ has purchased by His blood, and to help us in our necessities by thy powerful intercession. Protect, O most provident Guardian of the Holy Family, the chosen people of Jesus Christ. Keep far from us, most loving Father, all blight of error and corruption. Aid us from on high, most valiant defender, in this conflict with the powers of darkness. And even as of old thou didst rescue the Child Jesus from the supreme peril of His life, so now defend God's Holy Church from the snares of her enemies and from all adversity. Shield each one of us by thy constant protection, so that supported by thy example and thy help, we may be able to live a good life, die a holy death, and obtain everlasting happiness in heaven. Amen. Our Father. Hail Mary. Glory Be. St. Joseph, pray for us.

Day 1 — Today bring to Me all mankind, especially all sinners, and immerse them in the ocean of My mercy. Jesus said: "Today bring to Me all mankind, especially all sinners, and immerse them in the ocean of My mercy. In this way you will console Me in the bitter grief into which the loss of souls plunges Me." Most Merciful Jesus, whose very nature it is to have compassion on us and to forgive us, do not look upon our sins but upon our trust which we place in Your infinite goodness. Receive us all into the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart, and never let us escape from It. We beg this of You by Your love which unites You to the Father and the Holy Spirit. Eternal Father, turn Your merciful gaze upon all mankind and especially upon poor sinners, all enfolded in the Most Compassionate Heart of Jesus. Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen. The Apostles' Creed: I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into hell. On the third day He rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty. From thence He shall come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, the communion of Saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen. On the large beads, pray: Eternal Father, I offer You the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Your dearly beloved Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world. On the small beads, pray: For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world. Concluding prayer (repeat three times): Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One, have mercy on us and on the whole world. Optional closing prayer: Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless and the treasury of compassion inexhaustible, look kindly upon us and increase Your mercy in us, that in difficult moments we might not despair nor become despondent, but with great confidence submit ourselves to Your holy will, which is Love and Mercy itself. Amen.

Day 1 — Behold, O Mother of Perpetual Help O Mother of Perpetual Help, behold me, a miserable sinner, at thy feet. I have recourse to thee and put my trust in thee. O Mother of Mercy, have pity on me. I hear thee called by all the refuge and the hope of sinners; be then my refuge and my hope. Assist me, for the love of Jesus Christ; stretch forth thy hand to me, a poor sinner who commends and dedicates myself to thee as thy devoted servant forever. I bless and thank Almighty God, who in His mercy has given me this confidence in thee, which I hold to be a pledge of my eternal salvation. It is true, dearest Mother, that in the past I have miserably fallen into sin because I had not then recourse to thee. I know that with thy help I shall conquer. I know, too, that thou wilt assist me if I recommend myself to thee; but I fear, dear Mother, that in time of danger I may neglect to call on thee and thus lose my soul. This grace, then, I ask of thee, and this I beg with all the fervor of my soul: that in all the attacks of hell, I may ever have recourse to thee. O Mary, help me. O Mother of Perpetual Help, never suffer me to lose my God. Prayer: O Mother of Perpetual Help, grant that I may ever invoke thy most powerful name, which is the safeguard of the living and the salvation of the dying. Delay not, O Blessed Lady, to help me whenever I call on thee, for in all my needs, in all my temptations, I shall never cease to call on thee, ever repeating thy sacred name, Mary, Mary. O what consolation, what sweetness, what confidence, what emotion fills my soul when I pronounce thy sacred name or even only think of thee! I thank God for having given thee, for my good, so sweet, so lovable, so dear a name. But I will not be content with merely pronouncing thy name; let my love for thee prompt me ever to hail thee, Mother of Perpetual Help. Our Father. Hail Mary. Glory Be. V. Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God. R. That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ. Amen.
