Novena to the Sacred Heart (Day 1)

O my Jesus, You have said: "Truly I say to you, ask and you shall receive, seek and you shall find, knock and it shall be opened to you." Behold, I knock, I seek, and I ask for the grace of... Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen. Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Say the Hail Holy Queen: Hail, Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy, our life, our sweetness, and our hope! To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve. To thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears.
