Prayer in Time of Suffering

O Lord Jesus Christ, who upon the Cross did embrace the fullness of human suffering for the salvation of the world, grant me the grace to unite my sufferings with Yours. Help me to see in my trials a share in Your holy Passion, and to bear them with patience, humility, and love. Let not my heart be troubled nor afraid, for You have overcome the world and have promised that all things work together for the good of those who love You. O Mary, Mother of Sorrows, who stood faithfully at the foot of the Cross, intercede for me in this time of trial, and obtain for me the consolation of the Holy Spirit. Grant me, O Lord, the perseverance to carry my cross with faith, knowing that through suffering we enter into glory. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
