Prayer to St. Monica

Dear Saint Monica, troubled wife and mother, many sorrows pierced your heart during your lifetime. Yet you never despaired or lost faith. With your prayers you obtained the conversion of your husband and your famous son, Augustine. Intercede for all mothers and wives who are troubled by the erring ways of their loved ones. Dear Saint Monica, you persevered in prayer for your loved ones, confident that God would hear your petitions. Pray for all of us, that we too may trust in the goodness of God and obtain through prayer the favors we seek. Amen.
